One couple in love writes about the journey they take as they start their own family. Well that's how this blog started but lets cross that out, huge change of plans. Let's start over. This blog is about one women (me) and what she experiences as she navigates though divorce, motherhood and finding herself. Plus a bunch of other random crap. I'm not a writer so what you get here is just raw, honest, moments that I attempt to put into words.

Everything plus the baby tub
were Dave and I were taught how to change diaper, give infants baths, swaddle a baby, make bottles and some of the other basics. Dave was amazing at the swaddling and paid very close attention at changing the diapers on our babies. That was awesome as they had put peanut butter in the dirty diapers.
Friday was our very last sonogram which didn't go according to plan which was very disappointing. Dave and I had planned to just have the sisters at the appointment so we could share with them the experience and then I was going to have some of the pictures made to say Merry Christmas and give albums to the grandparents for Christmas but Dave's mom ended up being there. This frustrated me cause last week when we went out to dinner I had told her I just wanted it to be the sisters. Dave said he finally told her ok she could come because she kept pressing and then saying that she would just drop Amy off. And you can't just have her drop off someone and say bye. That would be rude. We had planned to pick Amy up from where ever so this wouldn't be a problem. I think it hurt me so much because I had told my mom Saturday that I only wanted the sisters there and I know that she would have like to come. And if I would of known how it would have panned out I would have invited her as I very much would have like to share it with my mom. I felt like I was in a now awkward situation. Other then that we got to see that Baby Guinan has Daddy's nose and mommy’s lips and toes. She also gave us a beautiful smile. Dave said that this was by far his favorite out of all of them and he could actually see what people were talking about. Friday night ended with a bit of a family crisis and I ended up being up all night and spending a good part of my morning at Saint Mary’s ER. It was then time to take care of a few things and head off to my Baby Shower that Kelly had planned for me. It was so amazing and baby girl is very spoiled and Dave and I are off to a good start as for being prepared for baby. I couldn't believe how many wonderful presents baby girl got. I was so tired by the time I was done opening them. Kelly had done such a wonderful job that coworkers came up to me the next work day and said they heard my shower was better then most weddings they been to. I can't thank Kelly enough for all the hard work she put into it. My grandma, mom and mother in law took care of the food and it was very yummy! I am so thankful for all the friends and family I have by my side. I love them all.
That evening we had a Chev dinner that Dave was in charge of planning. We didn't finish with that till 10:00PM so after being up since 5AM on Friday morning and finally getting to bed at 11:00 PM Saturday night. I slept though the night for sure, didn't even wake up for a bathroom break or at least remember waking up.
