One couple in love writes about the journey they take as they start their own family. Well that's how this blog started but lets cross that out, huge change of plans. Let's start over. This blog is about one women (me) and what she experiences as she navigates though divorce, motherhood and finding herself. Plus a bunch of other random crap. I'm not a writer so what you get here is just raw, honest, moments that I attempt to put into words.

Thanksgiving 09
Another week down. I've been very tired and have even got to the point were I have had a few contractions 12 mins apart. Heartburn has been insane. There are times when I swear a leg or something has come out. Many people have also noticed that I have dropped. I would have to agree as breathing has gotten a bit easier for me
This week we celebrated thanksgiving. We had dinner at the Guinan's house. Loretta cooked most of the dinner and a turkey and Dave did his deep fried turkey. Thanksgiving meals and pregnancy don't mix well.
There's not a lot of room in your belly any more so you can't eat to much. So I guess it is a good thing. The day after Dave and I were on our way to do some more black Friday Shopping. Yes we were out the door at 4AM. We got an awesome deal on the rocker we wanted for the nursery. To be exact $150.00 off. Babies R Us and one in the color we wanted. We were very happy we got it! Then I was off to work and he was off to work on the nursery some more with my dad.

Doctors Appointment
Contractions are not fun. I have been having them off and on for about a week now. They are very sharp and I can feel the pain in my hips at times. These have not felt like my normal braxton hicks by any means. On Monday I went in for my doctors appointment and tell him what I have been feeling. He laughs a little and says well it sounds like you have been having prelabor again. He says "I'm not worried because if you do go into labor I'm not going to try and stop you. Baby would be better out now then in if you did go into labor." So he went ahead and did a examine on me and it turns out that I'm 50% effaced already. Dr. Klose then looks at me and says Happy Birthday! He then gave me a few directions
like don't worry about taking it easy. I would prefer two more weeks but baby is ready to go and sent me on my way. I was shocked and excited! I called Dave and told him the news. Of course this was the first appointment that I told Dave he didn't need to be at. He kinda freaked a little. He said "Really, Really the nursery is not done!" The doctor also said that I can't leave town even to cut our Christmas tree. I was a little bum to hear that. Other then that things are going well and I love the 3rd trimester.

Nursery and my Birthday
This week was a lot of fun. Dave and my dad and some friends of Dave's worked hard on painting and building the nursery for are little Love Bug!
I was super excited. I can't do much but watch and shop. So I went with them to get the paint bought a few items like curtain rods, lamps, and check out ceiling fans for the room. I do have to say it really fun to watch dad to be and grandpa to be working together on the room. My dad had replace all the old built in furniture in the room with new working dressers. A very kind gift from my parents.
On Friday Dave and I headed of to the Peppermill to celebrate my birthday for the weekend. We started off with dinner at Ruby River played pennies. On Saturday it was off to my friends baby shower and Dave and my dad worked some more
on the room. After all that it was back to the Peppermill for swimming, dinner and birthday cake my grandma made for me. On Sunday we lived it up with room service!

Everything plus the baby tub
were Dave and I were taught how to change diaper, give infants baths, swaddle a baby, make bottles and some of the other basics. Dave was amazing at the swaddling and paid very close attention at changing the diapers on our babies. That was awesome as they had put peanut butter in the dirty diapers.
Friday was our very last sonogram which didn't go according to plan which was very disappointing. Dave and I had planned to just have the sisters at the appointment so we could share with them the experience and then I was going to have some of the pictures made to say Merry Christmas and give albums to the grandparents for Christmas but Dave's mom ended up being there. This frustrated me cause last week when we went out to dinner I had told her I just wanted it to be the sisters. Dave said he finally told her ok she could come because she kept pressing and then saying that she would just drop Amy off. And you can't just have her drop off someone and say bye. That would be rude. We had planned to pick Amy up from where ever so this wouldn't be a problem. I think it hurt me so much because I had told my mom Saturday that I only wanted the sisters there and I know that she would have like to come. And if I would of known how it would have panned out I would have invited her as I very much would have like to share it with my mom. I felt like I was in a now awkward situation. Other then that we got to see that Baby Guinan has Daddy's nose and mommy’s lips and toes. She also gave us a beautiful smile. Dave said that this was by far his favorite out of all of them and he could actually see what people were talking about. Friday night ended with a bit of a family crisis and I ended up being up all night and spending a good part of my morning at Saint Mary’s ER. It was then time to take care of a few things and head off to my Baby Shower that Kelly had planned for me. It was so amazing and baby girl is very spoiled and Dave and I are off to a good start as for being prepared for baby. I couldn't believe how many wonderful presents baby girl got. I was so tired by the time I was done opening them. Kelly had done such a wonderful job that coworkers came up to me the next work day and said they heard my shower was better then most weddings they been to. I can't thank Kelly enough for all the hard work she put into it. My grandma, mom and mother in law took care of the food and it was very yummy! I am so thankful for all the friends and family I have by my side. I love them all.
That evening we had a Chev dinner that Dave was in charge of planning. We didn't finish with that till 10:00PM so after being up since 5AM on Friday morning and finally getting to bed at 11:00 PM Saturday night. I slept though the night for sure, didn't even wake up for a bathroom break or at least remember waking up.
